These thirty wonderful rhymes for babies, young children and adults to enjoy together were collected in Toronto, Canada from people who remember them from their childhoods in many parts of the world.

Each rhyme is given in its original language and in an English adaptation which invites chanting and play. Notes give suggestions on how to use rhymes for maximum delight.

Bounce Me, Tickle Me, Hug Me was inspired by the Parent-Child Mother Goose Program which brings together groups of parents and their babies and young children to learn rhymes and enjoy the closeness and shared pleasure they bring. The program is designed to help parents gain skills and confidence which can enable them to create positive family patterns during their children's crucial early years.
